The System for Award Management (SAM) is an online system/database that is owned and operated by the Federal Government. SAM replaced the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system in 2012 and is the single point of entry for vendors that want to do business with the Federal Government. Thus, registration in SAM is a required first step for any prospective federal vendor, contractor or grant seeker.
Registration in SAM is FREE! However, navigating the registration process can often be confusing and frustrating because: (1) it is certainly not the most user-friendly system; and (2) it contains quite a bit of technical language and legalese. This workshop is designed as a hands-on workshop to walk you through the registration process for your individual business. By the end of the workshop, your registration will be submitted to SAM for their review and approval.
